outfit du jour: morning fog

Since this weekend, I've been feeling pretty sick off and on, and yesterday while I was taking pictures it just hit me out of nowhere and I felt awful. So, I didn't get many photos taken and today's post is a pretty quick one. But I'm pretty sure I'll be feeling great by tomorrow because it's my Thursdays are for Thrifters Link Party and you know I'm not going to miss that two weeks in a row!

I'm also super, super excited to be a featured blogger at Thrifty and Shameless today. I love reading this blog and was thrilled to be asked to do a little interview about my love for vintage and thrifting.

I spent all fall/winter/spring dreaming of summer clothes but now that I've gotten to wear them for two or three months, all I can think about are fall staples: my black riding boots (worn in today's post, that you'll see probably 3/4 of the week all fall and winter), sweaters, tunics, big hats. I've never worn my black boots with a summery outfit before so yesterday I decided to give it a try. I liked the look, but I would like them much better with jeans and long sweaters. Sadly, it probably won't be cool enough to wear them for another two months. Oh---and I thought I had close up photos of my pink-ish bracelet and sunglasses, but appearantly not.

On a brighter note, tomorrow is Thursdays are for Thrifters! I've already got my thrifted finds ready to go, so I hope you do too!

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that all the blogger issues of last week are behind us. I've heard that some people may have lost posts or even entire blogs, so I'm just grateful I didn't and am hoping none of you guys did either!

This is what I wore for Inspiration Monday at Two Birds. I liked this week's inspiration a lot. I've always liked Drew Barrymore's style, but I loved this simplicity of this look. I can definitely see myself wearing it again.
