This is the great ring from Born Pretty. There's some more details about it in the text below.

This outfit might be as close to my 'true' style as I'll ever get. I've always had a thing for '70s fashion and though it's not always the way I dress, it's probably how I feel most comfortable dressing. There's just something really unique about it and I feel like it's easy to make an impact with. I also want to show you this great ring that was sent to me from the kind folks at Born Pretty. It's a really simple, slender little band, but I absolutely love it. I've been wearing it almost every day since they sent it because it goes with absolutely everything. I usually wear it on my thumb. I love thumb rings but it's hard to find one that fits because I have tiny fingers and this one is absolutely perfect. I'd definitely recommend checking out their web store. They have sooooo much jewelry, it's all inexpensive and so cute and can be styled so many ways. They also offer free shipping around the world!  Also, they gave me a code just for you guys, so you can get 10% off anything you order!!! Just type in "MNT10" when you check out! They sent me a couple of other great pieces as well and I'm really looking forward to getting to wear them in and show them to you soon! I'm still working on detail shots, but things are only gonna get better from here on out. So excited to be blogging again!

return

I'm back. I haven't gotten around to all the changes I want to make yet, but I'm hoping that I might have them done by next week. I have lots and lots of comments to return and I'll try to get to them as soon as I can. It's just kind of a really busy time for me right now, so I might be a little slower to respond. I'm trying to simplify the blog and make it less time consuming. My first step in doing that was to start taking indoor photos most of the time, but the photos from the first two days, I'm just not happy with. I'm going to keep playing around with it for a few days and see how it goes, but I might have to do something different. Anyway, expect some changes to come (I think there's a new blog name and address coming soon), but some things will be staying the same (lots of outfit posts and Thursdays are for Thrifters).

Here's a couple outfits from the last few days:

outfit du jour: black eyed susan

Yesterday it was so dark and overcast that I had a really hard time getting decent pictures. That and these new shoes I bought absolutely kill my feet and I didn't want to wear them longer than it took to snap a couple pictures-which are horrible, I'm sorry. I'm planning on talking about these shoes (and a couple more pairs) in tomorrow's Thursdays are for Thrifters, so if you love shoes, make sure you stop back by!

Jeans: Tyte Jeans, $20., Plaid Shirt: I Heart Ronson, apx. $30., Vintage Sweater: Thrifted, $5.

These photos are from last year, but I wanted to show you the details on the sweater.

Necklace: F21, $4.

Ring: Charlotte Russe, $4.

T-Shirt Tuesdays...outfit du jour: murder (or a heart attack)

For today's t-shirt post I decided to wear my Old 97's t-shirt. I wanted to wear flared jeans with it, so I decided to put this white lace blouse over it which I thrifted a few weeks ago. I love how the sleeves flare out. I'm still obsessing over bell sleeves. I went with my brown western hat, since the girl on the t-shirt is wearing a cowboy hat. I really planned on wearing platforms, but I'm extremely picky about the length of pants with heels and these just didn't quite make the cut. So I put on my little Old Navy flat tennis shoes and decided it worked well enough. Styling t-shirts differently each week is tougher than I expected. What are some of your favorite ways to style them?
