T-Shirt Tuesday...Outfit du Jour: strange condition

I have a ridiculous amount of t-shirts. Mostly band t-shirts. I'm talking a ridiculously embarassing amount that I shouldn't ever admit. And I basically only wear them as pajamas. And so, I've decided to try to capitalize on this unexplored bit of my wardrobe. From now on, on Tuesdays, I'm going try to wear a t-shirt and show you how I styled it.

Today I picked this purple Pete Yorn t-shirt with a silver metallic logo. I picked it up a year and a half-ish ago, the last time I heard him play in Nashville cause I like Pete Yorn...and purple...and anything metallic.
I wanted to wear something pretty simple today, so I put it on with my skinny jeans, my black boots (I need to get as much wear out of my favorite shoes as possible before it gets too warm), and then pulled on this blueish green sweater with it. I got it secondhand and hadn't worn it yet but liked it, even though I'm not normally into many colors (besides purple) and somehow, the jewel tones (you'll never hear me say 'jewel tones' again) seemed to work well together. Then I decided to wear my black and white flower/material headband and, with the cardigan, it seemed to add a bit of a '50s feel to the whole outfit.
