outfit du jour: blue skies

I thrifted this sweater in Atlanta a little over a year ago. It's one of those pieces that you come across in a thrift store that is flawed but you still can't pass up. This sweater is actually crocheted (not by hand) and the pattern you see was made with a really thin gold thread that is holding the whole thing together (it's a really loosely knit sweater---there are huge gaps in the pattern, which is why I'm wearing a turtleneck underneath), and the gold threads had pulled away from the rest of the sweater in several places. I bought it anyway though and after finally getting it fixed, I have to say it's one of my favorites. It has such a '60s feel to me (and I'm a big fan of anything '60s/'70s). I wore it with my new Nine West boots that I showed you yesterday. A lot of people were saying they were grey, and they do have a grey undertone to them, but they're actually more of a tan boot.

And there's still plenty of time to link up at yesterday's Thursdays are for Thrifters so make sure you stop by the post and link up your finds and outfits!

Jeans: Arizona, apx. $20., Turtleneck: Attention, $17., Beaded Sweater: Thrifted, $5., Hat: Charlotte Russe, $5.

Those little dots are actually beads.

Earrings: Charlotte Russe, $4.

Ring: Charlotte Russe, $4.

Copper Ring: F21, $3.

Vintage Leather Clutch (Aigner): Secondhand, Gift.

Boots: Nine West, $32. I know that these boots have a very grey undertone to them, but I think they're actually more of a really light tan. In person, they still look quite grey too though. Kind of a mixture maybe.
