outfit du jour: days

I'm always excited to participate in a good link up and today I'm joining in on Tammy from SilverStyle's Trending Through the Decades . This week's theme is brights, which I don't usually wear a lot of, but since it's practically summer here, I decided to pull out these bright floral shorts I picked up not long ago on clearance for $5. They were actually my Valentine's Day present to myself. I'm a big spender, I know. I paired them with this thrifted floral blouse, which I'm sure seems all kinds of weird, but I actually like it. I've been really into floral on floral lately. This is a bit of a stretch---combining the spring-like shorts and the fall-ish top, but I feel like it works for some reason, so I just went with it. I think it's always best to trust your fashion instincts. If an outfit is a total failure, there's always tomorrow!
Shorts: F21, $5., Blouse: Thrifted, $2.50., Tights: Gift., Hat: from JCPenney's, $12., Necklace: F21, $1.50. (Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of the necklace up close. Next time!)

Vintage Bag: Thrifted, $3.
Shoes: Nine West (seconds), $30.

    Your pictures are looking so nice. I just learned how to make mine bigger. Hopefully by the next post I can remember.....You know fleeting brain cells and all!
