Since I started Thursdays are for Thrifters 33+ weeks ago, people have been asking me what items count as thrifted. I've always felt that thrifted items are ones that you buy secondhand (or occasionally, new, at charity shops), whether they be from thrift stores, yard sales, flea markets or anywhere else you can pick up used goods, and that you felt like you got a good deal on. The term 'thrifted' is really left open to interpretation. And today I'm stretching the idea just a little bit to show you some of my recent finds.
On Monday, I took a mini roadtrip with one of my friends to a shoestore we love in a tiny little town that sells seconds. Seconds are shoes that can't be sold at retail price because of minor imperfections or are gently used. This store happens to sell only name brand seconds. I've picked up a pair of Nine West booties and a pair of Fergie shoes there too, for about $30 each. On this trip, I actually found three pairs of shoes, and though they aren't from the $5 shoe rack at Goodwill (I wish they were, cause even these low prices are a splurge for me), I feel like I pretty good deals on them. Check out the prices below the photos and let me know if you think I got a good deal on them and can count them among my thrifted finds or not.
