outfit du jour: black and white

It's finally Everybody Everywear day again and I'm excited as always. There's no better way to draw inspiration than giving a few hundred bloggers a vague idea of what they should wear (this month it's black and white) and seeing how they interpret the look. I kept it pretty simple. I don't know if the look reads exactly what I was going for or not. I wanted to wear tight black pants and I was hoping that the loose flowy top would kinda work in contrast to that and bring kind of a '60s feel to it without being over the top. Just a hint of it. I know the top is pretty short (shorter than what I normally wear anyway), but do you think it comes across as how I'd hoped? Or does what I was going for even make sense? I can picture it in my mind but it's kinda hard to explain.

  3. I totally get the description of what you were going for, and while a longer top probably would have helped achieve that, I think you did a pretty solid job! In your first pictures, the hair accessory you're wearing sort of comes off as a beret (or at least it did to me =), and that added even more to the 60s vibe. Very cool idea.
