outfit du jour: day of the dead.

Since November 1st is Day of the Dead, I wanted to to try to do sugar skull makeup. I'm not one of those girls who's good with makeup, and when you add in trying to draw designs, I'm even worse. But, this actually turned out better than expected. Still not great or like you see in all the Tumblr pictures, but okay by my standards. Plus, I figure it's just for fun and it's more about the spirit of it than it looking perfect. It definitely would have looked better if I wasn't so pale to start with though because you can barely tell I'm wearing white make up.

Also, the Halloween Costume Link Up is still open, so make sure you stop by and show off what you wore!

Dress: Thrifted, $6., White Leather Jacket: Gift., Shoes: Bonnibel, $10.

Just a close up of the patttern on the dress. It has kind of an aztec feel from certain angles. Couldn't pass it up when I found it at Goodwill last year.

  13. The pattern on this dress is awesome! I'm a big fan of the make-up too. I love looking at other people do crazy make-up things but I always feel to self conscious to wear it out. I could just put it on and take blog photos like this!
