outfit du jour: the dark don't hide it

The girls over at Two Birds' Inspiration Monday have done it yet again. Don't get me wrong; I love Alexa Chung's style. But when I first saw the inspiration post-I had no clue how I would pull it off. This ended up being one of those weeks where I used the photo as more of a jumping off point, but I love how this turned out, even if it's not exactly like Alexa's look. I'm also linking up for the first time today over at Not Dead Yet's Visible Monday.

    I had a hard time this week too but like you did, used it more as a jumping off point. I don't think I've ever seen your face before - you are so beautiful you shouldn't hide behind sunglasses all the time! I love your interpretation and I just read in one of my fashion mags that the red, white & blue inspirations from summer are also carrying over into the fall looks. Nice!
