outfit du jour: thistle and weeds

This is one of those outfits that when I first put it on I was kinda not thrilled about. See, recently I've realized that my style has has taken a turn more toward the loose/flowy/dreamy side. And well, this outfit is none of those things. I love this jacket but it makes me look kinda boxy. I love those boots but they seem kinda manly. (Can heels even be manly? They feel that way.) So the combination, I felt, was a little too...masculine? tough? I'm not sure exactly. It just didn't feel like me. But in the pictures...I really like this outfit. And when does that ever happen?

    I love that jacket, it's boxy but in a fierce way..great shoulders. I have the same thing about photos but usually the OPPOSITE - when I think 'ahh yes this is a good look' then see the pics and i'm horrified that I let myself go out in public like that! ahahaha.

    I know what you mean about the shoes--they do have a masculine feel, but that's why I like them! And I think they balance nicely with the fitted, feminine feel of the skirt.
