outfit du jour: mona lisas and mad hatters

I'm starting to reconsider my decision to stop posting outfits on weekends. Once Monday comes around I'm just *really* unmotivated to get any good outfit photos. That and it's freezing outside and there aren't any really good places to take photos inside. Today's outfit was pretty plain. I spent the day doing family stuff so I didn't bother to wear anything too exciting.

Jeans: Arizona, apx. $20.

Grey T-Shirt: $20.

Pink Sweater: Secondhand, Gift. My favorite thing about this sweater is that it has a little pocket in the front like a hoodie.

Tan Fedora: from JCPenney's, $12.

Necklace: Betsey Johnson, Gift.

Earrings: Carole, Inc., set of three for $4.

Scarf: Thrifted, $1.

Wooden Bracelet: Masquerade, $5.

Amber Ring: F21, Gift.

Silver Ring: Masqueade, $5.

Brown Bag: Charlotte Russe, $10.

Shoes: Converse, $50.


So, over the weekend, we ran across a couple boxes at my grandmother's house that contained some of my mom's old things. Among some jeans and a really great pair of clogs, there were a few things she had on a bulletin board in her room when she was in high school or college. I kept a few things she didn't want after looking through it and immediately got the idea to put together a small inspiration board. I see other bloggers do them all the time and hadn't ever really tried. I ended up just placing a few things on an Elton John album that was hers (I already had it) and taking a few pictures...I also took a picture of the clogs.

By the way, for those of you who haven't made the connection yet, I thought this would be a good time to disclose a tiny bit of Spunky Chateau trivia; The name 'Spunky Chateau' is a take on Elton John's album 'Honky Chateau.'
