Outfits du Jour (s?)

Sorry for the delay on yesterday's post...I'm a day behind, but that's good news for you because you're getting two outfit posts in one...This is what I wore today to hang out with Brittany, do a little thrifting in Leitchfield and then to go find a shoe store we'd heard about in Beaver Dam. The shoes in the first photo aren't the ones I wore...these are my new tan, leather Nine West boots that I found for $30. And the best part? They're so easy to walk in. Probably going to be living in these for a while. Oh, and this is Brittany's dog, Lily. She isn't mine; I just borrowed her for the picture.

Short story about these shoes...I found them at a Goodwill outside Atlanta. They say they're a size 4? No idea. I'm usually a 5, which is basically the smallest size you really ever find. Maybe it's European sizing. I was in a hurry to leave the store when I spotted these. I held them up to my feet and they seemed like a good match. So I bought them. Well, they're much larger than they appear. (I know, I should know better.) So, I stuffed the toes and we punched new holes in them to hold them on tightly. Nevermind that it means the buckles are basically in the center of my foot. I can get away with that, right? I mean, they're Nine West suede platform mary janes for $3. I couldn't expect them to be completely perfect.
