outfit du jour: society is my friend

It's Everybody, Everywear day (aka one of my favorite blogging days of the month). I put together this pattern mixing oufit with this semi-weird floral shirt I got at Charlotte Russe years ago and this vintage, hand made green and white floral vest that I've been at a loss as to how to wear. Paired them with high waisted super flared jeans and I was in love. But sadly, it just was not one of those outfits that photographed well, so this will have to do.

Hope you're all getting ready to link up to this week's Thursdays are for Thrifters. It's a great opportunity to show off your thrifted finds and outfits. I actually did a little thrifting over the weekend and can't wait to share what I found. Click

  1. I love the mix of pattern w/ the top and vest. I was just talking to a friend yesterday about how it's acceptable to mix patterns like this - unlike "back in the day" when she and I were learning the fashion "rules". I love this and hopefully I'll be able to pull off a similar look some day!

i love how the patterns of the shirt and vest go together. do you find vintage and thrifted clothes fit well off the rack or do you alter clothes to fit you as well?

  19. I really like the mix of the two shades of green and the two florals. I tend to mix geometric and softer patterns but this really works well - I'm inspired
